We provide blower door testing at both final and in progress construction paired with an infrared camera to help track down hidden air leaks which reduce comfort and durability.
EARTH ADVANTAGE CERTIFICATION
Earth Advantage certified homes are sustainable homes. Each home is built with a focus on energy, health, land, water and materials. Once the home meets the baseline prerequisites, the builder and future homeowner choose additional measures that determine the certification level of the home; Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Zero Energy. Enerstructa provides third-party certification to help support builders as an extra set of eyes to ensure that nothing gets missed and that these homes will be comfortable and resilient for years to come.
EPS VERIFICATION
Brought to you by Energy Trust of Oregon, EPS is an energy performance score that helps smart homebuyers find homes that offer superior efficiency, comfort and savings. EPS lets you look behind the walls to see the true energy impact of a home. It reveals the estimated energy costs, environmental impact, and highlights specific energy-efficient features. EPS allows you to see the benefits of these homes more clearly, and even offers a side-by-side comparison of how each home’s energy score stacks up against similar-sized homes in Oregon.
To earn a score, homes are third-party performance tested with diagnostic equipment to be at least 10 percent above code with energy-saving solutions such as high-performance insulation, tight construction and efficient heating and cooling. EPS is compatible with other widely recognized energy ratings, and stands as a true symbol of top-quality construction.
Enerstructa is a third-party verifier for EPS homes in the Columbia River Gorge. We work with contractors and owner/builders throughout the design and construction process to help them build affordable, comfortable, durable, healthy and energy efficient homes. Builders receive cash incentives for advanced energy efficiency measures that make homes future ready.
HERS RATINGS
We provide HERS Ratings for new and existing homes to showcase energy efficient new construction and to set a benchmark for existing homes to outline what opportunities could help improve comfort, health and affordability. A HERS Rating is an in depth assessment of your home including insulation, windows, mechanical systems and air leakage testing with a blower door and infrared camera.
HOME ENERGY SCORES
A home energy score is a basic home energy assessment that takes about 1 hour to complete and provides recommendations for cost-effective energy saving improvements. If you are looking to buy, sell or remodel a home, ask for a home energy score to better help compare energy costs, showcase upgrades in older homes and get a checklist for recommended upgrades.
